Our team is led by one of the leading national experts on the telemedicine industry. Vik is a practicing physician and serial entrepreneur who understands the start-up ecosystem and the challenges faced by healthcare innovators. He founded Single Thread to bridge the gap between cutting edge technology platforms and highly regulated entities providing medical services.

Vik holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Biology from The Columbian College of Arts & Sciences of The George Washington University, an M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Vik trained in general surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and is affiliated with the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Courtney has over 10 years’ experience in digital health, eClinical, and biotech. After getting her M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University, she scaled multiple startups as a founding employee and advisory consultant. She manages processes, policies, and people with specialty expertise in regulatory compliance, information security, and privacy.

CLINICAL LEADER

Alexa holds a B.A. in Biochemistry from Occidental College, an M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Ecuador focused on researching women’s health. Alexa trained in emergency medicine at the University of California San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital in San Francisco, CA and is affiliated with the Veterans Administration Hospital.

CLINICAL LEADER

Caleb holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.D. and MBA from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine and Anderson School of Management, respectively. He then went on to complete his medical residency training in internal medicine at UCLA during which he won awards for teaching, humanism, and informatics. Following residency, he began working as a primary care physician and clinical operations director at a direct primary care clinic in Santa Monica, California. He has since transitioned back to inpatient medicine and currently works as a hospitalist in a variety of medical systems.

CLINICAL LEADER

Jessica holds a B.Phil. with a focus in Child Development and Fitness from Miami University, an M.D. and M.A .in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University, and an M.S.P.H. from Meharry Medical College. She is an up-and-coming clinical informatician and preventive medicine and public health physician helping her patients become healthier through lifestyle changes. Jessica was a Fogarty Fellow in Kenya looking at the acceptability and feasibility of smartphone-based health records. She is currently affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
